Yarn bombing is a form of graffiti or street art. Even though it is technically considered vandalism under the letter of the law, few view it in that way. Unlike spray paint graffiti, which is what we normally think of when we think of graffiti, yarn bombing is non permanent and can be removed with no damage done to the object on which it is placed on. It is also meant to be interactive, unlike paintings yarn bombs can be touched, moved, or things added to it. It is meant to bring something colourful and playful to a cold, sterile, mostly grey and concrete place.
If you would like to know even more about this colourful revolution, I encourage you to check out the website http://www.yarnbombing.com, or even read the book Yarn Bombing. You are always welcome to join the movement yourself. Make the world a prettier and warmer place.
